Group A Prompt

During boot camp I learned about many different parts of writing that I've never thought of before. The way we wrote each paragraph and how they all ended up relating and fitting together seemed interesting. I am not a strong writer at all, I would say it's my least favorite part of school. I learned that if I break down the essay into smaller parts it will be easier to write and it will help give me structure to my writing. I also learned about the different terms I never knew the difference between them. Such as a primary and secondary source, where the primary source is one closest to the topic, and a secondary source is written about the topic or relates to the topic in some way. I learned a lot from the first two weeks and I think it really helped jump start me for writing this semester.

  1. Im so glad that you said writing was your least favorite part of school because that is the same for me. I totally agree that breaking down each paragraph into pieces makes it easier to put a paper together. I thought that going over all the definitions of the new terms as a class discussion was a great way to get the class involved and keep me engaged. I also agree that boot camp was a really good jump start to this semester. Hopefully the material we covered in boot camp will help us throughout that rest of the semester in English 101.

  2. Writting is also my least favorite, I think it's really funny how english is our least favorite subject. I always knew there were primary and secondary sources, but I never knew what the exact difference to them was either. Boot Camp was just a way to help get this semester started.
